European Market
Slight rebound of wheat market yesterday after the result of the Egyptian tender. This country bought 120 000 t of French wheat, 60 000 t of Romanian and 60 000 t of Russian for a total of 240 000 t. It’s a further confirmation of the current competitiveness of European origins, especially due to decline of the euro vs dollar. The French part has been sold for 60 000 t by Soufflet and for 60 000 t by Invivo on a basis of 195.54 $/t FOB to which must be added 10.20 $/t of shipping for a total price of 205.74 $/t CIF. Russian and Romanian wheat was displayed at 206.15 $/t CIF.
On the international stage, we can note as well the sale of 190 000 t of soybean US origin to unknown destination.
Markets should stay neutral till the end of the week due to American holiday for Thanksgiving.
The euro was in a downward trend again yesterday, under 1.06 for a while, in a context of anticipation of monetary softening by ECB next week.
Rapeseed bounced back on chartists considerations. Soybean displayed a key reversal after touching a lowest level early this week.
Wheat, harvest 2015, quotes at 172 €/t on a July basis for a quality 76/220/11, delivery Rouen.
Chicago wheat trades to an equivalent of 166.30 €/t for December 2015 delivery.
Durum wheat, harvest 2015, trades between 280€/t nominal delivered Port La Nouvelle.
Rapeseed, harvest 2015, quotes at 385 €/t nominal FOB Moselle, November 2015 delivery.
Feed barley, harvest 2015, quotes at 160 €/t July basis for standard quality, delivery Rouen.
Malting barley, Sebastian variety, harvest 2015, quotes at 180 €/t July basis, FOB Creil.
Sunflower, harvest 2015, quotes at 415 €/t nominal, October delivery, equivalent Saint-Nazaire.
Corn, 2014 harvest, trades at 162 €/t on a July 2015 basis, FOB Bordeaux
The feeding pea market trades at 210 €/t nominal, August 2015 basis, FOB Creil
American Market
American markets displayed short soybean buybacks yesterday, before the holiday of Thanksgiving. Markets will be closed today and half session tomorrow.
Only wheat has declined, still in a context of lack of competitivenessfor American origins on the international stage and an improvement of crop conditions after last beneficial rains.
Yesterday, funds were net sellers of 2 000 lots of corn and net buyers of 7 000 lots of soybean.
Corn was benefited of good ethanol production numbers during the week of 13th-20th of November with more that 1 million barrels, so a progression of 3.4 % compared to last week.
Prices provided below are now for the 2015 harvest.
Corn December 2015, closed at 3.66 $/bushel, + 1.75 cents from previous day.
Wheat December 2015, closed at 4.7925 $/bushel, - 5.00 cents from previous day.
Soybean November 2015 closed at 8.7525 $/bushel 11.50 cents from previous day.
Soy meal December 2015, closed at 285.50 $/t, + 1.60 $/t from previous day.
Soy oil December 2015, closed at 29.21 cents/lb, + 0.62 cents from previous day.
Black Sea market
2015 Russian‘s harvest is almostcompleted. Only 10% of corn area is not collected yet. However an increase of 1 Mt of corn should be addedby the end of harvest. The authorities have already displayed a total volume of 108 Mt, so a little below compared to last year’s resultwith 101.1 Mt. Crop production has mainly declined in Volga district.
So far, Russian authorities have displayed a gross weight collected volume of 63.9 Mt of wheat, 18.3 of barley. 12.4 Mt of corn, 9.4 Mt of sunflower, 1.1 Mt of colza and 2.8 Mt on soybean.
